BERViewer is a program that allows the user to "view" BER/DER encoded files such as X.509 certificates and S/MIME messages. It comes in a Windows 9x/NT/2K version and a Mac OS X version. It is absolutely FREE! Below is a screen shot, showing two open files:

A free program by Peter Gutman, under "Security Standards", halfway down the page. The program is called "dumpasn1.c". No, I didn't use it to write BERViewer, but I do use his dumpasn1.cfg for the OIDs. BTW, Peter does have a quote from me concerning PKIX on his page.
