Joanne Sullivan

Joanne began dancing at the age of 3 at the “Circle School Of Dance” taught by her mother, Jacqueline Loats.  

At age 16 she continued her professional training at “Arts Educational Schools” in London studying Musical Theatre. She graduated from Arts Ed. In 1984 and worked professionally in “Panto” and Musical Theatre until deciding to join forces with her mother. It was then she continued with her professional training becoming an Adjudicator, Senior Examiner and Chairman of A.B.D.

 

Joanne has had the opportunity to travel both Nationally and Internationally lecturing and demonstrating the examination syllabi as well as freelancing lecturing in all aspects of dance for other recognised associations within the U.K.

 

In 2007 Joanne was short listed for a Carl Allen (teachers’ award) and was very proud to achieve runner up against many well known and respected teachers within the dance world and again short listed in 2008 for The “Classique de Danse” teachers’ award.  She has been teaching now for 25 years and is very proud of all the Academy’s achievements to date.
