Bio:- Appala Narasimha Raju Chekuri (Appala Chekuri) is a Graduate student in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Department at South Dakota State University. Appala did his undergraduate in India from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University with the stream of Information Technology. He was a member of WENS Lab and also working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Wireless Embedded Network systems Lab under the guidance of Dr. Myounggyu Won from October-2015.
Research Interests:- Cyber-Physical Systems, Wireless Embedded Systems, Precision Agriculture, Low power wireless enabling systems, Internet of Things (IoT), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAV), Mobile Computing, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Human Wearable Sensor Systems.
Skills:-
- Programming languages: C language, Object-oriented (C++, Java & C#) and basics in Python, Ada, Pascal, FORTRAN 90.
- Embedded Programming: Ros, Systems Programming, Dynamic C-over rabbit processor (rcm5600w) and Arduino Programming.
- Database: Oracle 10g, MS-SQL, SQL-Query Viewer SharePoint.
- Web Designing: JavaScript, XML, Cascading Style Sheets, Java, ASP.NET, HTML 5, Web API.
- Tools: Apache Tomcat, Eclipse, Net Beans, Visual Studio, SharePoint.
- Operating systems: Ubuntu, Fedora, Windows & Ros.
Academic Projects:-
- “E-Climbing software”. In this project, we design a desktop application to South Dakota State University Wellness center for rock climbing sport in order to maintain and manage the participants with membership accounts.
- “In-office communication using VoIP”. This project describes the design, philosophy, and implementation of a prototype for a fully developed IP-based telecommunication system that provides the essential feature set for office and home communications, including IP-based local calling.
