Other interests

Road trips to visit friends have kept me constantly energized by providing much-needed breaks from daily routine. I enjoy :

• Driving in summer on mostly empty roads and a fun weekend to look forward to

• Listening to Carnatic classical music, and have gravitated towards instrumental pieces; during the many hours stuck in Washington D.C. traffic, the Classical WETA station has consistently played excellent string quartet compositions that helped pass the time waiting for lights to change

• Playing the violin

• Racquetball and, more recently, squash
