Members gather before 'the march' in Manchester St. Patrick's Parade on Sunday March 26, 2023

On Saturday, March 4th, the Annual "Passing of the Sash" Mass took place at St. Raphael's Church, Manchester, NH, where the Grand Marshal Sash is passed from the previous Grand Marshal to this year's Grand Marshal!  Congratulations to brother Dick Phelan, 2023 Grand Marshal!!

Division 1 wishes to express our deepest gratitude to Jeff Hastings, of Manchester Information, for following along with us and documenting our annual Adopt-A-Family gift distribution this year.

AOH Division 1 is proud to participate in Manchester’s “Adopt a Site” community improvement program by adopting the historical marker honoring Cpl. Bernard Mullen, who gave his life in service to America during WWII.  The marker is located at the Parker Street bridge near Sweeney Park in west Manchester.

Rev. Wm. J. Shanahan Division 1 in Manchester, New Hampshire is extremely pleased to announce that Brother Dennis Walsh has been named 2021 Hibernian of the Year for his tireless dedication to the Order and his outstanding contributions to the work of the Division throughout an extremely difficult year .

Division Information

What is the Ancient Order of Hibernians?

Membership is open to active participants of the Catholic church; potential members must be of Irish decent to be considered for membership.   

Division 1 - New Hampshire meets the first Wednesday of every month (except in July & August).

We meet at the Henry J. Sweeney American Legion Post, located at

251 Maple Street in Manchester, NH.
