Ph.D. positions through TMU scholarship.

Every year 2 Ph.D. positions are available for students from Chemical Sciences and its allied subjects

Topics: (i) Amyloid β and Tau proteins diagnostics and therapeutics, (ii) Development of novel photo-theranostic agents for neurological disorders diagnosis and therapy.  

Essential qualifications: M.Sc./MS degree in Organic Chemistry/General Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry/Biomedical Engineering/Materials Chemistry/Nanotechnology with minimum two years of research experience in industry or an internationally reputed research institute. Valid English proficiency certificate (IELTS band score 6.0, or TOEFL iBT score 93). 

Desirable: Minimum two SCI/SCIE publications. (Industrial experience candidates will be considered for positions without publications if shortlisted) 

Essential skills: Expected candidate should have hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry, such as asymmetric synthesis, catalysis and peptide synthesis. Along with synthetic skills, candidate should have an excellent ability to purify and characterize organic, organometallic compounds, peptides and semi-synthetic biomolecules through the reverse phase HPLC, chiral HPLC, electrophoresis (western blot), NMR (1D and 2D), MALDI-TOF, FT-IR, HR-SEM, HR-TEM, ESR, CD, ORD, polarized optical microscope and fluorescence confocal imaging microscopic methods.

Scholarship includes Tuition fee waiver + TMU monthly scholarship (NT$16000) + Additional monthly incentives based on research performance.

Essential qualifications: M.Sc./MS in Clinical Biochemistry/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Biomedical Engineering with valid English proficiency certificate (IELTS band score 6.0, or TOEFL iBT score 93).

Ph.D. Opportunities through Taipei-Tianmu Rotary Club 2023-24 Foreign Student Scholarship. 

● Quota: 4 students

● Scholarship: NT$ 50,000

The scholarship is delivered in the spring and fall semesters, and will be delivered in NT$25,000 each time.

Ph.D. aspirants without research experience can apply for internship programs.  

Internship Programs (6 months) with fellowship (NT$15000 /month).

Internship programs are usually available during December and June for international students. Interested candidates, please write an email to Dr. Anup Pandith in advance to discuss the possibilities. 

Eligibility for internship program. 

Applicants must hold M.Sc./MS degree in Chemical/Biological Science and its allied subjects and be willing to pursue Ph.D. in CBME, TMU. 

Must hold a nationality other than Taiwan and have never been to Taiwan for a degree, exchange or short-term program.

Scholarship duration: 3 months maximum.

MOE APEC Scholarship short-term research fellowship: 2 to 6 months.
