Dr. Anuj Modi
Currently serving as a Senior Wireless Research Scientist at Amazon Lab126 in Sunnyvale, CA, Dr. Modi has been recognized with the Builders Build Award by Amazon Lab126 in 2023 and 2025 for his work on miniaturized On-PCB Electromagnetic Bandgap (EBG)-based components and Hardware-Sage: Gen-AI Hardware design co-pilot. He is also a two-time recipient of the Honorable Mention Award at the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Symposium, in 2017 and 2019.
Dr. Anuj Modi earned his B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Nirma University, Ahmedabad, India, in 2013, followed by a B.A. in Indian Classical Music from Gandharv Vidyalaya, Ahmedabad, in 2014. He completed his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ, USA, in 2017, and went on to earn his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the same institution in 2020.
An active contributor to the scientific community, Dr. Modi serves as a reviewer for several prestigious journals, including IEEE AWPL, IEEE TAP, PIERs, IET EL, and IET MAP. He also held the role of Vice President of Eta Kappa Nu, Epsilon Beta Chapter, the IEEE Honor Society, in 2019.
At Amazon Lab126, Dr. Modi has filed four patents and published two research papers. He has been instrumental in shipping over 100 million devices, leveraging his expertise in designing cost-effective antenna systems, EMI/EMC/RF desense solutions, RF immunity strategies, and SIPI analysis for high-speed interfaces and power nets in fast-paced environments.
He holds 5 US patents and has published more than 30 research papers being cited for more than 1000 times. In recognition of his significant contributions to the field, Dr. Modi was granted U.S. permanent residency in 2022. Since 2020, he has been residing with his family in Silicon Valley, the heart of global technological innovation.Â
