ARTICLES OF FAITH

1. We believe that there is one true and living God, the Creator and Preserver of all things, in whom we live, move and have our being. I Timothy 2:5

2. That the Scripture of the Old and New Testament is the word of God and the only safe rule of faith and practice. II Timothy 3:16-17

3. There are these three bearing records in Heaven, the Father, Word and Holy Ghost, and these three are one. The Word existed with the Father, and was not created, and was in time manifested in the flesh to destroy the works of darkness.

I John 5:7-8

4. That man: by the disobedience of the first man, sinned and came short of the glory of God. Romans 5:17-19

5. That Jesus Christ fulfilled the law and the prophets, suffered and died upon the cross, and made atonement for the sins of mankind. Romans 5:10-11,

Hebrews 9:11-15

6. That the Spirit of God reproves the world of sin of righteousness and judgment and rational men and women are subjects of His reproof. St. John 3:20;

II Timothy 4:1-2

7. That by the faith we are justified and received the atonement: and being sanctified by the Spirit of God, we are adopted into His family and kept by His Power through faith unto salvation. Heb. 5:9; Romans 8:14-17.

8. That baptism shall be continued by the church on the profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by the subject and candidates presenting themselves for Church membership shall show their faith by their works be being immersed in water by a regular ordained minister of the gospel. Ephesians 4:6; Romans 6:3

9. That the first day of the week (Lord’s Day) is sacred and ought to be spent in the worship of God, and that baptism, the Lord’s Supper and foot-washing are ordinances of divine authorship and none but believers are proper subjects for any of these ordinances. I Cor. 16:2; Rom. 6:3; I Cor. 11:23-34; John 13:2-17

10. He that endureth to the end the same shall be saved. Matthew 24: 13;

I Peter 1:25

11. Marriage is established in God's Word and can only take place between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:21-25, Matthew 19: 4-9) and was intended by God to produce Godly offspring (Malachi 2:15). We are to speak out the truth that homosexuality is Biblically wrong and is condemned by God (1 Corinthians 6:9) and we should minister in love to those who are caught up in this lifestyle and promote to them that only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ can a homosexual lifestyle be over come and their salvation attained.
