About Me

I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agriculture at Alcorn State University. I received my Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Georgia and an MSc. in Agricultural and Applied Economics, and Environment and Natural Resources from the University of Wyoming. My research focuses on the efficiency and welfare of smallholder farmers . Specifically, I study how technology adoption, intervention programs, and environmental production conditions impact the efficiency and livelihood of smallholder farmers.

Before pursuing my undergraduate degree in Economics at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, I worked as a teacher at Faith Home Academy, a private elementary school, where I taught students in 5th grade. I also served as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Georgia. Currently, I teach undergraduate courses in quantitative methods and a graduate course on markets in agricultural economics.
