Welcome
"To find a career to which you are adapted by nature, and then to work hard at it, is about as near to a formula for success and happiness as the world provides. One of the fortunate aspects of this formula is that, granted the right career has been found, the hard work takes care of itself. Then hard work is not hard work at all."~ Mark Sullivan
ANR 101A is a course that has been designed to assist students who are making academic and career decisions by exploring the links between their academic interests and life aspirations. The process encompasses self-assessment, research (gathering of information on occupational options), and decision-making strategies. Students will be engaged in various, structured activities that will lend insight into the decision, which offers the best prospects for reaching the student’s personal, educational and career goals. Course instruction and exercises will be customized to meet each student’s unique academic and career needs.
As a part of the course requirements, I also have to create a portfolio displaying the work that I have done and the progress that I have made throughout the semester. So hang around for a little while.
Hope you enjoy getting to know me, Desiree' M. Slaughter!!!
