Itinerary for the trips:

Trip 1: Attleboro, Massachusetts 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

May 09 Itinerary

1. 8:30-9:30 The group of PRIMES teachers, students, and parents will meet at CHSE library for an organizational meeting and a small lecture from Professor Dan Murray and PRIMES teachers.

2. 9:35-10:15 The group will head to Attleboro MA under the guidance of Professor Dan Murray.

3. 10:30-12:30 Exploring the following stops: Pet Smart parking lot route 1, Volcanic rocks, glacial pavement, coal bearing rocks, basalt.

4. 12:35-1:15 Lunch Capron Park, Attleboro MA. Group members are responsible for their own lunch and drink.

Trip 2: Middletown and Newport, Rhode Island 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

May 16 Itinerary

1. 8:30-9:30 The group will travel to Sachusett Point in Middletown.

3. 9:35-12:00 The group will explore purgatory chasm and head to Newport Cliff Walk.

4. 12:15-1:00 The group will have lunch at Brayton Point State park.

5. 1:15-3:00 The group will head to Castle Hill then head back to CHSE.

Trip 3: Beavertail State Park, Jamestown, Rhode Island 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

May 30 Itinerary

1. 8:30-9:30 The group of PRIMES teachers, students, and parents will meet at CHSE library for an organizational meeting and a small lecture from Professor Dan Murray and PRIMES teachers.

2. 9:35-10:30 The group will travel to Beavertail, Jamestown RI.

3. 10:35-12:00 Explore Beavertail geology

4. 12:00-1:00 Lunch Beavertail State Park.

5. 1:00-3:00 Afternoon exploring, then head back to CHSE.
