Here I show something I've been lately busy with....

Art (an explanation...I think)

If you pick up a book on the subject of art with the tried and trusted titles of say.. "What is art" "Why we like it" "Where to get it" and of course the ever popular "The meaning behind such and such an artists work" you will soon realise that trying to "Explain Art" or the message being conveyed by a certain work is a fruitless thankless task that can safely be left to self opinionated art critics who posses the same enlightened insight into an artists mind as we all do except that they get paid more

Art opens itself up to praise, ridicule, criticism, and every emotion good or bad known to woman (or man) and the reasons behind the critics and our conflicting observations and conclusions are because we all interpret what we see, hear or experience differently, so naturally enough it is almost impossible to agree on a subject as emotive as Art

So.. what are we left with? How about "I don't know a thing about art but I know what I like" Think it works for me because after a lifetime of envying the genius behind some of the cotemporary and classical masterpieces it has been my lot to admire, ridicule, love ,hate, or be in unspeakable awe of the talent that was capable of putting together a work beyond my most fanciful daydreams I am ready to admit that Art is not only a closed book to me but it is also buried in a tower with a fire spitting dragon barring the way from me and the rest of mankind to enlightenment and an explanation as to its true meaning .. and it is my greatest wish that the dragon lives for ever.

Ceep again..
