Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada

"The Council of the Institute has, since 1963, elected annually to the grade of Fellow a number of engineers in recognition of their excellence in engineering and their services to the profession and to society. In the early years, the Fellows were members of the Institute. Now they are members of the Constituent Societies of the Institute.

Over the years, the numbers of elected Fellows have varied from a few to fifty or more. Current practice is to elect up to twenty Fellows annually." (see: http://eic-ici.ca/honours_awards/fellows/).

The Engineering Institute of Canada 2018 Award Citation reads (among other statements): "Anna is an international authority in the discrete modeling & simulation methods like Individually Based Simulation Models, Agent Based Simulations, Cellular Automata and Lattice Gas Cellular Automata, a field of which she is one of the co-developers. Her research has contributed to paradigm shift in studying dynamics of complex systems in diverse areas of application. "
