I am Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods at the University of Milan. 

I received my PhD from the Department of Economics, University College London in 2014.

My research interests are in (i) Economics of Migration: drivers and impact; (ii) Drivers of Firm performance; (iii) Causes and Consequences of Gender-based Violence.

I have been working as a consultant for different international organizations like IFAD, UN WOMEN, European Investment Bank, UK Cabinet Office.

Since March 2025, I am a member of the Group of Experts for the monitoring and analysis of PNRR investments at the Italian Minsitry of Economics and Finance.

I am a non-resident Research Affiliate to the Centro Studi Luca D'Agliano; Visiting Fellow at University College of London-CASA and External Affiliate, Health Econometrics and Data Group (HEDG), University of York 

I have been a Research Associate Centre for Economic Performance (London  School of Economics) - Growth Programme from 2019 to 2024
