Welcome

Hi everyone,

I am Anish Mallick from Kolkata, India. I have completed my PhD in mathematics from IMSc (Institute of Mathematical Science) Chennai under the guidance of Prof. Krishna Maddaly  and got my masters in mathematics from IISER (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research) Kolkata. I have completed two postdocs at PUC (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile) and ICTS-TIFR (International Centre for Theoretical Sciences) Bengaluru. My research is in the study of random operators. Most of my works are focused on spectral structure of Anderson type operators and local eigenvalue statistics. Currently I am working at Haber Water as a data scientist. I am primarily focused on developing machine learning algorithms for deployment on EDGE devices which are used to control dosages of various chemical in paper industry.

I also love working on mathematical models (mostly models which show some kind of emergence properties), programming and like playing PC games in my free time.  In recent years I have started tinkering with various machine learning algorithms to change their behaviour, which sometimes has improved the prediction and made them more stable against real life data. I am interested in the current development of graph neural networks and NEAT. I believe that any AGI system will need knowledge graph to be embedded in them, and they will need the ability to evolve them as per necessity. While NEAT algorithms are slower than most deep learning based algorithms, they are capable of changing there network topology based on requirements.
