Hello! Welcome to my homepage. I have joined the University of Liverpool as Professor of Economics. Before joining Liverpool, I served as an academic staff at Academia Sinica, Durham University and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and I earned my graduate degrees from the University of British Columbia and the University of Michigan. My current research focuses on macroeconomic theory, monetary economics, economic growth, innovation and intellectual property rights. I have written over twenty articles that are published (or forthcoming) in journals, such as European Economic Review, International Economic Review, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Economic Growth, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Journal of Urban Economics and Macroeconomic Dynamics. For a list of my publications, please refer to my curriculum vitae and research statement. Here are my RePEc rankings among the top 200 young economists in the world and among the top 10% economists in the areas of innovation and intellectual property rights. Currently, I also serve as an associate editor for the Bulletin of Economic Research.
