Course Description: This course integrates work on human happiness, drawing from economics, neuroscience, psychology and the Catholic intellectual tradition. Modern scholarship and ancient sources of wisdom are rapidly converging toward an integrated, science-based, understanding of what happiness is, and the best ways to achieve it. Interrogating the role of addiction, technology, relationships, meaning, work, money and wealth, the course will help students chart a course toward more satisfying, enjoyable and meaningful lives.
