I was responsible for the program and its implementation at the school, as well as for the planning and evaluation of the exchange.
With my coordinator-counterpart in Germany, I made the best matches for students and families.
I organized our school’s schedule in Germany. It was roughly 2/3 family-stay, and 1/3 educational travel. I organizedthe travel, lodging, and agenda for Berlin and Munich, as well as day trips (e.g. Trier, Luxemburg, Mainz, Rothenburg)

Chaperoned all 3 trips (trips are 3-4 weeks long)
Held “homeroom” for American students to make sure they were acclimating well, to teach about the German Gymnasium (=high school), and to prepare them for day trips and overnight travel
Coordinated events with the German teachers and others in the school.
Organized and in-charge of all of our travel, including to Berlin and Munich.
Experience each year with large groups of teenagers (20-22 students each year, between the ages of 15 and 18) taking both chartered bus and German Rail, and overnighting in a variety of youth hostels.
