Welcome to my website.

I am a Principal Economist in Microeconomic Surveys at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. I work on administration and dissemination of the Survey of Consumer Finances (SCF), a triennial survey of U.S. household income, wealth, credit use, and other financial outcomes. The SCF data are used for studying topics such as the extent of household financial obligations or the distribution of wealth by race and ethnicity Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and the PBS News Hour have featured my work on the SCF.

Previously I was in Household and Business Spending/Macroeconomic Analysis at the Fed, where I briefed the Fed's Board of Governors on real-time macroeconomic developments (such as the effects of Brexit, federal government shutdowns, or natural disasters on the U.S. economy), contributed to written reports to Congress on the conduct of monetary policy and potential future economic developments in the semiannual Monetary Policy Report, and forecasted Gross Domestic Product and assessed risks to the U.S. economy for the Fed's Board of Governors (the Greenbooks/Tealbooks).
