Research Interests
I am Evolutionary Biologist of Parasites, i work with molecular data and geographical distribution, with a particular focus on helminth fauna of vertebrate and invertebrate of aquatic wildlife.
My lines of research are:

My research involves using molecular tools, distributional data and information on the type of parasitic interactions and their ecological relationships to understand the mechanisms, processes and patterns of evolution of the aforementioned host-parasite association. I am particularly interested in combining population genetics and phylogeography with morphological phylogenetics and cophylogenetic analyses to understand how the geographical areas and phylogentic relationships between and among hosts and parasites promote population differentiation and lineage divergence.
Research Interests
In collaboration with Dr. Leopoldina Aguirre Macedo and Dr. Víctor Vidal-Martínez, we investigate the genetic diversity of helminth parasites of Paralichthyidae, marine fishes from Mexico Gulf such part of Mega-Project from CIGoM Consortium.
In this moment, I m begin in the FC-UABC to explore surfing the parasitic diversity on Californian waters, to understand the ecological and evolutionary nets of the parasitic life.
