I am Assistant Professor and Juan de la Cierva Fellow at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (BGSE), and Fellow at the Research Institute in Markets, Organizations and Votes in Economics (MOVE). My research interests are in Applied Microeconomics, Data Science, Development, Labor and Political Economy.

APR 2019: New BGSE Working Paper "Easy Come, Easy Go? Economic Shocks, Labor Migration and the Family Left Behind"

JAN 2019: I received a BGSE seed grant for the project "Digital Trace Data for Measurement and Prediction of Migration, Production and Trade Networks"

MAY 2018: I have been selected for the Juan de la Cierva Research Fellowship by the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness.

OCT 2017: Hannes Müller and I received the "La Caixa" Research Grant on Socioeconomic Wellbeing Evaluation for our project "Analyzing Conflict from Space".

SEP 2017: My paper "Easy Come, Easy Go? Economic Shocks, Labor Migration and the Family Left Behind" was nominated for the Young Labour Economist Prize 2017 of the European Association of Labour Economists.

JUN 2017: I received the Young Researcher Prize for excellence in policy relevant research on developing countries from the Research Group on Development Economics of the German Economic Association.
