Andreea Mitrut

I am a Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Gothenburg, where I am currently the Deputy Head of Department (Proprefekt), the PhD Program Director and Head of Research.  

I am a Research Fellow at the Rockwool Foundation, Berlin and an Affiliated Researcher at SITE, Stockholm School of Economics and at the J-PAL, Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab.  During  the last five years I was a regular visiting scholar at SIPA, Columbia University.

My research lies at the intersection of labor economics, public economics, and public health, with a focus on  the social determinants of health, education, and inequality. 

My research was featured in the international media, including the BBC news, the Romanian National news, Realitatea TV news (RO), and The Independent (UK), The Telegraph (UK), GöteborgPosten (SE), Evenimentul Zilei (RO), Gandul (RO), Adevarul (RO).
