I am an Associate Professor (Docent) at the Department of Economics, University of Gothenburg and an Affiliated Researcher at SITE, Stockholm School of Economics. Previously, I was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics at Uppsala University. During the last five years I was a regular visiting scholar at Columbia University.
I have a particular interest in the interaction between research and policymaking, particularly on topics at the intersection between health, education and corruption.
I have written and researched mostly on Eastern Europe and contributed to different streams of literature, including on Early Child Development, Fertility and Family Planning, Education, Corruption, Social Exclusion, and Inter-Household Transfers.
I am currently funded by the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (The Swedish Central Bank) (RJ), the Swedish Research Council (VR), as well as by the Jan Wallander and Tom Hedelius Research Foundation (Handelsbanken).
