Andreea Mitrut

I am a Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Gothenburg, Sweden, where I serve as Deputy Head of Department (Proprefekt), PhD Programme Director, and Head of Research.  

I am a Research Fellow at the ROCKWOOL Foundation, Berlin, an Affiliated Researcher at SITE, Stockholm School of Economics and J-PAL. During the last five years, I have been a visiting scholar at SIPA, Columbia University.

My research lies at the intersection of labor economics, public economics, and public health, focusing on the social determinants of health, education, and inequality. It has received international media coverage, including BBC News, Romanian National TV News, Realitatea TV (RO), The Independent (UK), The Telegraph (UK), Göteborgs-Posten (SE), Evenimentul Zilei (RO), Gândul (RO), and Adevărul (RO).
