About Me:
Anderson Mutter Teixeira is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Brazil. He teaches Banking and Macroeconomics at the graduate level, as well as courses in Macroeconomics, Banking, and Economic Growth at the undergraduate level. He previously held postdoctoral positions at the University of Brasília and at the São Paulo School of Economics (EESP-FGV), and was a Visiting Researcher at Surrey Business School, University of Surrey (UK), in 2024.
His research focuses on macroeconomics and macro-financial interactions, with particular emphasis on monetary policy, macroprudential policy effectiveness, systemic risk, financial stability, and nonbank financial intermediation (NBFI). He combines cross-country empirical analysis and DSGE modeling to study the interaction between monetary, fiscal, and macroprudential policies.
His research agenda is driven by policy-relevant questions, especially the design and coordination of macroeconomic and macroprudential policies in increasingly complex financial systems. His work has been published in national and international academic journals, and he has received competitive research funding from Brazilian agencies, including CNPq and CAPES.
