About Me:
My name is Anderson Mutter Teixeira. I am a Associate Professor of Economics at Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Brazil. I lecture Banking, Macroeconomics in postgraduate programmes and, Topics in Macroeconomics, Banking and Growth Economics for undergraduates.
Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Brasilia (2014-2015) and at the Sao Paulo School of Economics (EESP-FGV) in (2016 -2017) and a Visiting Researcher at Surrey Business School at the University of Surrey (United Kingdom) in 2024.
I am interested in Banking, Empirical Banking, Financial Stability, Macroprudential Policy, Monetary Policy and Macroeconomics. I research on the effectiveness of macroprudential policies, systemic risk, non-bank financial intermediation (NBFI), and the interaction between monetary, fiscal and macroprudential policies across a broad set of countries (empirical banking), and DSGE models.
I am motivated by real-world issues to find innovative and robust perspectives on financial stability, the effectiveness of financial market regulation, and policy interaction and coordination.
I have been granted some National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and CAPES Grants: i) The Interaction between monetary, fiscal and macroprudential policies: An empirical, dynamic and stochastic approach (2024-2027), ii) Macroprudential instruments, Non-Bank Financial Intermediation (NBFI) and bank profitability (2024-2026), iii) Credit Portfolio Concentration and Diversification: An Empirical Investigation for Some Latin American Countries (2017-2022) and finally iv) Assessing Dodd-Frank Effect on the US BHC Capital Structure (2016-2017).
