CREATIVE THINKING & WRITING
This practice is designed for the viewer to use his or her imagination. Take time to look beyond
the surface into the depth of the painting, connecting shapes and assembling colors to create
images throughout the painting. The more you look at the painting, the more you begin to see
and realize the unlimited possibilities within the painting....What do you see in the painting?
First Week: Students were asked to choose either painting A or B to title and write about.

A CRAZY HOUSE
Once upon a time when I got home I saw that my mother had put a chair on top of 2 tables with a ball on top. It was surrounded by a pond, but not the whole thing, just half of it. Above the chair there was a Chinese plate with a photo on it. Under the table there was a mermaid relaxing with a dolphin floating on the pond. The monster had a big eye. It looked like a ball but it was his eye. Then everything fell. My mother didn't mind because it was going to the junk yard in a few minutes. Then my dad came to take the junk away to the junk yard.

THE DEAD PLANT
Once upon a time there was a flower pot with a flower inside. His owner Jimmy thought he was taking good care of him but he was doing it all wrong. He put it in his close with dirty clothes and never watered it. He was a bad plant owner. So his mom came up from the kitchen and asked how is his plant doing. He thought it was fine but it was actually dead. When his mom told him that his plant was dead he felt like the worst plant owner in the world. His mom contorted him and told him it was just his first time. So he went outside and planted it and wished it a good dead life. He learned to do the opposite of what he did.

THE LONG SHARP PLANT
Once upon a time there was a very sharp plant. He was very long and he did not like being a plant. He could always say he had no friends but it is not true because he is smart and they copy him. One day he spoke to me. He said abstract is almost the best thing you can ever learn until I touched his sharp part, he felt I thought it looked terrible but my mom said, that is abstract. So I took a picture of it and showed it to my art teacher Mr. Anton and I got my I Pad and wrote a story about it. I realized that you do not need to break something for art.

We went in the corn maze and got lost but we found our way out. We saw the farmer planting beans and pickles. We took some beans and pickles home with us. We also saw a windmill. We went inside the windmill. That was our day at the farm.We saw people working inside of the windmill. They showed us how they work. It was cool.

THE PLANT IS SCARY
Once upon a time there was a plant that was scary. The plant always scares you when it is night time. There was a kid that was brave and he brought the plant. When he went to sleep the plant looked at him. He thought he looked cute so he did not scare him. He turned the sink on and drank the water. The plant did not drink water, so the plant died. He did not want to scare the boy so the boy lived. The boy new that he was good plant.

AT THE FARM
Once upon a time I saw a farm and it had duck pond. When I saw ducks going in it they were quacking so loud. Then there was a barn and there was a dinosaur and it had a red tail. It had a blue face and a red and black body. It roared so loud the cows and pigs and horses, chickens, goats and lamas got scared and ran into me and it was so loud. The dinosaur fell and ate a flower pot and a long magical flower and it turned into a beautiful long black and white snake and the snake talked to me and it said, hi and I said hi back and showed me its home. Then a blue truck came and had three new animals. Their names are Lily, Taffy and rose. They are cute little chicks. They had little squawks.

ONE SUNNY WEIRD DAY AT THE FARM
Once upon a time we were at the farm and it was a sunny day. We saw a plant in the barn and it grew out the window because it grew to the side. Me and my brothers said, what in the world. But they said that they were saying what in the world to the pool at the farm. They also said it to the giant feather sticking out of the barn. Then we saw red grass and kind of blue and yellow. We saw a black crow in the red, yellow and blue grass and it was eating a piece of the corn maze. It was a long time before any one but me saw the sheep in the pool. My brothers said that they have never seen anything as gross in there life and a cow cooking in the farm kitchen but they did see a horse covering the weather in the barn. The temperature in the barn was getting really hot and then really cold because the horse didn't know how to cover the weather. Then a duck came out of the pond because it was almost hurt.
