My name is Abbas Zaidi. I am a PhD from the Department of Statistical Science at Duke University in Durham, NC under the supervision of Sayan Mukherjee and Fan Li. I received my B.S. in Economics and Statistics (2012) and my Masters of Statistical Practice (2013) from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. My research focuses on experiemntal design and causal inference enabled by Bayesian methods; other interests include studying the scalability of computational methods, data visualization and time series analysis.
Over the past decade, I have worked across several industries including a stint as a Quantitative Financial Analyst at Bank of America-Merril Lynch; I am currently employed as a research Statistician at Meta Inc (Central Applied Science).
