Engineering
At Perry Fiberglass, it was recognized that I work extremely well on large projects. I have a high level of consistency, my CAD drawing space is kept very orderly, I check my own work for errors, and large projects highlight my organizational skills. These qualities allowed my supervisor to entrust me with many general items so he could spend his time on more important details. While there, I volunteered to be the drafter for a newly acquired FRP tank company. I instituted a 3 point cross-check on those drawings to ensure accuracy in fabrication.

aTLANTIC WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT, va
The Atlantic Wastewater Treatment Plant project started with two drafters, but soon I was given sole responsibility for the layout. I completed the overall layout as well as all of the drawings of the individual pieces for fabrication in our on-site shop. A challenge with large diameter duct was to be sure the pieces were not too large to fit in/on proper trucks for transport to the job site.

yELLOW RIVER WATER RECOVERY FACILITY, ga
Yellow River was a 5 stage project that I completed as the sole drafter of the overall layout and the individual piece drawings for fabrication.

A daily responsibility at Perry Fiberglass was to create and print tap and elbow patterns. I created a form for the fabrication crews to request the patterns they needed, saving me a lot of trips back to the shop in search of necessary information! I learned the Design2Fab program which was designed for use with sheet metal. The restriction with this program was that we could create things with FRP that weren't part of the library, so I was tasked with creating patterns from scratch for taps on elbows as well as shoe taps. I love a challenge!

Hy-Tek Material Handling provides rack systems among other products and services. One of my main priorities was to lay out the back room rack systems for a national retailer. That responsibility included layout changes, working with the customer's designers, change orders, material ordering, delivery confirmations, installation packets, and answering questions and solving problems that arose during installation. Our crews were only on site for typically 3-5 days, so timing was critical.

This project combined two existing warehouse locations into this building. The layout involved bringing both rack systems into this space and purchasing new material to supplement where needed. With multiple change orders, this project showcased my accuracy and attention to detail.
