This site is an archive of the material published by AMPLINEX (the AMPLE Information Exchange) between 1987 and 1992.
AMPLINEX was a disc-based magazine published in the late 1980s and early 1990s for users of the Music 5000 synthesiser which ran on the BBC Micro computer system.
The magazine content was written in the AMPLE language, which was used to control the Music 5000, so a mixture of music, text and programs could be included in the magazine contents.
A short history of AMPLINEX provides more information on how it started and how it worked.
