Dr. Amin Nozari is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Rowan University. Before joining Rowan, Dr. Nozari served as an assistant research professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Penn State from 2020 to 2024. His research interests include innovative materials and devices for thermal energy harvesting and management.
Dr. Nozari has developed a wide range of interdisciplinary research expertise to discover and investigate novel materials and engineering solutions across many fields including materials science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomaterials, and physics. His research areas include renewable energies, thermoelectric materials and devices, thermal energy harvesting and thermal management, materials (alloys, ceramics, and semiconductors) synthesis and processing, electromagnetic field (microwave) interaction with materials, high-entropy systems, and advanced materials.

Prithvi is currently a PhD student in the Mechanical Engineering department. During his master's, he worked on Vanadium Oxide battery systems and activated carbon supercapacitors. He currently works on Microwave Synthesis as a tool for developing new materials and structures for renewable energy generation such as thermoelectric materials. In his free time, he enjoys singing, playing and recording music, cooking from different cuisines, and watching a myriad genres of TV shows and movies.
