As part of the requirements of completion of the B.Sc and M.Math programs at Durham University, students in their final year must complete a year-long project, supervised by a member of the faculty, on a proposed topic that suits their interests.Â
I am proposing the following two projects, one at the 3rd year B.Sc level and the second at the 4th year M.Math level, that I hope will pique the interests of students.
3H - Uniform distribution of sequences
4H - Diophantine approximation: Continued fractions and beyond
Past projects:
2024-2025
3H - Introduction to Additive Combinatorics
3H/4H - Introduction to Sieve Methods
2023-2024
3H - The arithmetic of polynomials over finite fields
4H - Uniform distribution of sequences
2022-2023
