My Story
It all began when my wife’s coworker’s daughter (pictured above) wanted to get married, but her church wouldn’t perform the ceremony because it would be both the bride and groom’s second marriage. The couple struggled to find anyone willing to marry them, and when my wife mentioned it to me, I offered to help. At the time, I was already ordained through the Christian National Church, so I stepped in to officiate. It turned out to be a beautiful ceremony, and I received many compliments.
Seeing the joy and happiness on their faces made me realize how much I enjoyed officiating weddings. It also inspired me to help other couples who may face challenges—whether due to previous marriages, differing faiths, or no faith at all. I am here to serve without judgment, welcoming everyone.
With many courthouses no longer offering marriage ceremonies, my services provide a solution for couples seeking simple elopements or a more personal touch. I can even meet you at the courthouse and perform the ceremony nearby or at any location of your choice (check our local venues link for options).
Additionally, Alabama has stopped issuing marriage licenses at the courthouse. Now, couples must complete an online form, print it, and find a Notary Public to notarize the affidavit. As an Alabama Notary Public At-Large, I can notarize your affidavit, making the process even easier.
I have over 20 years of public speaking experience as an instructor for the U.S. Army at Fort Novosel, AL. My full-time job is with the Army, and I officiate weddings as a side service. I am available on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Monday through Friday after 4:30 PM. If I cannot answer your call, please leave a message, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible!
You probably have a lot of questions, and that's perfectly normal.
First and foremost, we offer Professional Wedding Officiant services only—we are not wedding planners. Our role is to conduct your ceremony, pronounce you married, sign and notarize the marriage license, and file it with the County Clerk’s Office.
You must obtain your marriage license from your county clerk’s office before the ceremony. Please refer to the "Marriage License" link on the left for the specific requirements for your state.
During our consultation, we will discuss the details of your ceremony, whether it's a simple elopement, a traditional vow exchange, or a heartfelt, customized ceremony. You can explore different ceremony options on our "Wedding Services" page. We’ll work together to create a ceremony that fits your vision and budget. If you choose a Standard or Customized ceremony, we’ll meet to finalize all the details and ensure everything is tailored to you.
Feel free to download and review the "Questions for Better Communication" document. While it’s not required, it may help clarify some common concerns that many couples face.
Thank you,
Pastor Dan
