Welcome! I am an economic historian working as an Associate Professor of Economics at Weber State University. My fields of interest are  Economic History, Political Economy, and Institutional Economics. My research focuses on the interaction of politics and economics and developments in my discipline(s). Currently, I am studying the interactions between Spanish political and economic elites in the 20th century. Another project explores the trends and evolution in economics in general and economic history in particular.  Because life is short and having fun matters, I am also starting some papers about football ("soccer" for certain people in our world).

I am currently teaching courses on the Economic History of the  United States, History of Economic Thought, and Intermediate Microeconomic Theory. I am also teaching one course to prepare for the capstone project in the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies Program. Introductory courses in Economics and Microeconomics have been part of my teaching rotation at Weber State. Previously, I have taught courses on "American Economic  History" and "Economic History and Modern Development" at the University of Maryland at College Park.
