Dr. Kumar is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Maryland (Baltimore, MD). He has completed 8 research projects, 4 patents and has published 33 research articles in the past 10 years of his research career in biomaterials and medical devices development.
Based on current health care demands, he is inspired for meaningful innovations to improve patients' live. The crux of his research involves new biomaterials development and parametric optimization of the 3D-printing process in conjunction with the composition, physical, and mechanical properties of the engineered devices to solve the complex tissue engineering problems.
Dr. Kumar has earned his Doctorate in the Biomaterials field from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IITK), Kanpur, India, in July 2013.
He also has a master's degree in Materials Science & Engineering and Physics (specialization: Astro Physics).
