Hello and welcome to my personal website! I am a Professor of Law, based in the School of Law at the University of Reading, UK. I conduct academic research in the fields of criminology, criminal law, and regulation, and I have written widely on issues relating to corporate homicide law, health and safety regulation, and public attitudes towards the law. In particular, I have written about issues to do with corporate manslaughter and workplace fatality cases, and about the history and practice of regulation over the last 60 years. My work has featured in national and international media, including the Independent and Sunday Telegraph, and on BBC Newsnight, BBC News 24, Radio 4 (the Today Programme) and Radio 5 Live, and on TV in Japan, South Korea, and elsewhere.
This website contains information about my research projects, my research publications, my current and ongoing work, and my other professional activities. I hope this is useful. It also provides details about how you can get in touch with me if these issues are of particular interest to you, or you want to know more.
