Almedina Musić

Economist, PhD

I joined World Bank's Education Global Practice in October 2017. I work on both analytical and operational projects related to education service delivery in fragile, conflict, and violence (FCV) settings, skills development, gender and management of education systems in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Between 2011-2017 I was an Economist/Policy Analyst at the OECD in Paris, France in the Directorate for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs, the Education and Skills Directorate and the Private Sector Development Division. I have previously worked for the Delegation of the European Union in Damascus, Syria and the Grameen Bank in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I've also spent time in Jakarta, Indonesia (Goethe Institute, intern) and Sana'a, Yemen (local NGO, volunteer). I hold a PhD in Economics from the Paris School of Economics. My PhD dissertation consisted of three empirical essays on education and social cohesion in fragile settings.
