This is the programme and flyer for Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles by the Chapterhouse Theatre Company which we saw in the garden of Gilbert White's house in Selbourne on 28th August 2016.
The guys on the front weren't in it.
I don't know who they are.
I think the one on the right might be Harry Seacombe's zombified corpse.
It was really good. We had a very nice time. And there were bats flying around the stage and owls in the trees being noisy.
The plot was based on the original but all mashed up. Which was good because it meant, even if you have seen and read the millions of other versions of the story, you had no idea whodunnit or why until the end.
The Sherlock in it was a very good Sherlock with all piercing eyes and that. But he didn't do much Sherlocking. The plot all unravelled without any input from him. He was just sort of there.
I'd give it 3 hound-eggs out of 4.
