March 18th Alliance Meetings Set

Two meetings of the Alliance for Regulatory Coordination have been scheduled for March 18, 2011.

During the first meeting, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Alliance members will discuss the Governor's Budget Proposal as it relates to the reorganization of the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, Safety and Buildings and the Environmental and Regulatory Services Divisions. Discussion about the organizational structure within the Safety and Buildings Division is also expected.

During the second meeting, from Noon to 2:00 p.m., interested Alliance members will continue their dialogue about administration of the Wisconsin Commercial Building Code; including the idea of possibly changing it from a minimum code to a min./max. code and possibly having a more robust system of statewide administration of the Wisconsin Commercial Building Code through programs administered by municipalities and the State.

Both meetings will take place at the state headquarters of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin; 5330 Wall Street, Madison, Wisconsin. All Alliance members are invited to participate.
