Che-Tsung Lin received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and MS. degree in the Institute of Applied Mechanics from National Taiwan University, and PhD degree in the computer science department in National Tsing Hua University in 2003 and 2005, and 2020, respectively.
He was a joint translator of a technical book-"Exploring the Digital Domain" published by GrandTech Press. He was an associate researcher from 2006 to 2014, a researcher from 2014 to 2020 and is currently a senior researcher in the Intelligent Mobility Division, Mechanical and Systems Lab, Industrial Technology Research Institute, Taiwan. From April to October in 2013, he was a visiting researcher at the computer science department of University of California, Santa Barbara, USA. His current research is mainly about generative models especially their applications in autonomous driving.
He was awarded the 3rd place winner in 2010 Taiwan region, the 1st place winner in 2013 Switzerland region and the special topic winner (2011 GNSS living lab prize) of European Satellite Navigation Competition. In the field of Computer Vision, He was the 2nd place winner of CVGIP pedestrian detection competition and received honorable mention award in MOST GAN Project Competition both in 2017. His PhD dissertation won CVGIP Excellent PhD Thesis Award and IICM Ph.D. Dissertation Award in 2020.
He moved to Sweden in Sep 2020 and had been working for Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, in the group of Imaging and Image Analysis/Signal Processing and Biomedical Engineering under Electrical Engineering as a postdoctoral researcher til February 2024. He later joined Zenseact (Volvo Cars) as a Deep Learning engineer til now.
He served as a reviewer for many top conferences, including CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, AAAI, WACV, and prestigious Journals, including IEEE Sensors, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, and Pattern Recognition.
