Duck Flush + Sportrap 2022

The (simulated) Duck Flush will be held at the July shoot.  It will be 50 targets for 2 gun teams.

This will be complemented by a 25 target Sportrap layout.

There will be the opportunity for re-entry on both stands, so bring extra cash and cartridges.

Refreshments available on the shooting ground from Thatch and Bowl Bakery (menu below).

The 2021 AGM will be held at 10:00 am before the November shoot, please arrive early and sign in before the meeting.

Duck Flush + Sportrap event

Congratulations to Quintin O and Denis L who win the shield with 40 ex 50 in the 2 man flurry

Also to Graham M who won the Sportrap event with 19 ex 25 and beating Graham H in a shoot out.

AGM 2020

The 2020 AGM has been cancelled due to the current restrictions.

We will continue to shoot as normal with £30 membership fees due in January 2021.

If you have any issues then please address them to one of the officers of the club (Paul O, Dan W, John B).

Rule of Six

Following the change in the government rules there will be a change to our shooting procedure:

• Virtual sign-in - Announce yourself at the desk by the shed door. You will be allocated to a squad of up to 6 guns. Your squad number will indicate the number of your first stand.

• Go Away - After sign-in do not congregate by the shed or in the farm. 

• Squad Leaders - The 5 squad leaders will meet at the shed at 10:30 for a shoot & safety briefing.

• First Stand - Make your way to your designated starting stand at 10:30. You will be joined by your squad leader.

• Scoring / Trapping - Each squad will have a squad leader and a deputy. These will trap and score for you, sanitising each time they hand over control.

Shooting Restart

We are planning to restart shooting  on 28 June 2020 (10:00 registration; 10:30 start shooting) 

There will be a few changes:

• Social Distancing - Keep 2 meters apart, only setup team allowed in the shed

• No Guests - Only Members, re-joining members and their families.

• No Catering - No food or drinks 

• Virtual sign-in - Announce yourself at the desk by the shed door. You will be allocated to a squad.

• Fees - Membership reduced to £10 plus £10 each shoot. Paid-up members will get 2 shoots free. 

• Buying Cartridges - We will sell you cartridges if you have the correct change (box 12 bore £6 ; box 20 bore £7.50)

• Escorted Squads - A scorer will trap and score for you (scorers will shoot separately)

• Spent Cartridges - Pick up your own spent cartridges and put them in the bin. Remind your friends if they forget, but do not help

• Pick-up - the setup team will load clays wearing gloves, so at the end of the shoot you can pick-up safely

Duck Flush 2019
