These are papers and notes given to me (and written) by others.

by James E. Baumgartner

I think that Jim gave me these typewritten notes while I was his student at Dartmouth College. I do not know who penned the handwritten remarks and corrections that appear throughout. Tadatoshi Miyamoto, maybe?

by Kenneth Kunen

I am not sure who gave me these notes, but I would guess that it was Jim. I have had them since I was at Dartmouth, at least. It might have been much earlier, though, when I was an undergraduate at Occidental College. I studied these things then, first with Yo Matsubara until he left Occidental for Nagoya University in 1992, then with Joan Moschovakis and Noa Goldring until I left in 1993.

by Fred Galvin

This is Galvin's proof of Lemma 2 of A polarized partition relation for weakly compact cardinals using elementary substructures. I presented my proof of the lemma one day in the set theory seminar at the University of Kansas. Fred grumbled unhappily about my use of elementary substructures in the argument. He presented this purely combinatorial proof to me the next day.
