Soy Profesora Titular en la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela  y miembro de la Rede Armela de Investigación. Obtuve mi doctorado en Ciencias Políticas por la USC en 2013, con un trabajo sobre la transversalidad de género en España que ha sido reconocido, entre otros, con el Premio a la Mejor Tesis Doctoral de la Asociación Española de Ciencia Política (ex-aequo).

Durante mi trayectoria académica he formado parte de múltiples equipos de investigación nacionales e internacionales. Disfruté de sendos contratos competitivos pre (2009-2011) y post-doctorales (2014-2016) que me permitieron realizar estancias de investigación en University of Edinburgh (IASH), Vrije Universiteit Brussel y Washington State University.

También he colaborado como consultora externa con una multiplicidad de instituciones, incluyendo el Instituto Europeo para la Igualdad de Género de la Comisión Europea y la Mesa de Género y Universidades del Ministerio de Universidades.

Mis principales líneas de investigación abordan la implementación de las políticas de igualdad,  el análisis del federalismo y las dinámicas territoriales desde la perspectiva de género, la promoción de la igualdad en el ámbito científico, y el rol de los actores políticos anti-feministas.

I am Associate Professor at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Santiago de Compostela and member of Armela Research Group. I obtained my PhD in Political Science at the USC in 2013, with a thesis regarding the development of gender mainstreaming in Spain . It was awarded, amongst others, with the Prize for the best PhD dissertation of the Spanish Political Science Association (ex-aequo).

During my academic career I have taken part in several national and international research teams. I was granted competitive PhD (2009-2011) and postdoctoral scholarships (2014-2016), which gave me the opportunity to be visiting researcher at the University of Edinburgh (IASH), Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Washington State University.

I have also collaborated as an external consultant with a variety of institutions, including the European Institute for Gender Equality of the European Commission and the Experts Group on Gender and Universities of the Spanish Ministry of Universities. 

My main areas of research refer to the implementation of equality policies, the analysis of federalism and territorial dynamics from a gender perspective, the promotion of gender equality in science and research, and the role of anti-feminist actors.
