Covert cameras. These cameras are so small they cannot be easily seen or are disguised as a different device (such as smoke detector, PIR etc).

Day/Night cameras. These cameras switch from colour to black and white depending on lighting levels. They are ideal for variable lighting conditions, we usually fit this type most of the time.

High-resolution cameras. These cameras have extra light sensors on their digital image sensors. They increase the effective image quality. This type of camera is only effective with high-resolution monitors.

Night Vision cameras. These cameras have their own light source in a light spectrum that can't be seen by the naked eye. These cameras are ideal for small areas with no light.

Outdoor cameras. These cameras have hardened, waterproof outer bodies.

Speed Dome cameras (Pan, Tilt, Zoom). These cameras allow for remote control of what the camera is pointed at and what it is focused on.

Vandal Proof cameras. These cameras come in hardened cases that can resist the toughest physical abuse.

SPEED DOME CAMERA'S - PTZ:

On the basis of application, there are two groups of Speed domes; namely Outdoor Speed Domes & Indoor Speed Dome. These Cameras are also known as PTZ Cameras.

Outdoor Speed Domes are designed for different weather conditions (weatherproof), have internal heaters, are robust and operate in varying light conditions(i.e. low light, Day/Night), etc. An indoor Speed Dome, as the name suggests, should only be used on premises with protection from external conditions. Some external Speed Domes also have 'alarms' facilities such that they can be positioned to a number of preset positions according to the alarm trigger; hence operate very well inconjunction with PIR detectors. Speed Domes support many features including, Tours, Patterns. Speed Dome cameras are usually controlled using common control wires with each camera connected in parallel. The camera is addressed and therefore controlled using a data protocol where each instruction consists of a camera address and command. A Speed Dome Keyboard (Controller) or DDS DVR can be used to control these PTZ cameras from a remote site. Each controller is able to control many PT / PTZ cameras using some form of wired communication lines (like RS485). Unfortunately, there is no standard among manufacturers for control of these cameras so care should be taken on selecting a suitable controller. It is recommend to confirm that PTZ controller and Camera can support the same communication protocol (i.e. PELCO) and support the same communication lines (i.e. RS485).

DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER (DVRs)

The best way to decide about a CCTV DVR System is to compromise between the quality, what you want to cover and the overall budget. It is advisable that you have a discussion with us about the CCTV recorder to meet your needs.

A Digital Video Recorder is basically a computer that converts incoming video (analog) signal from cameras to digital, compresses it and then stores it. There are many advantages of CCTV DVRs over their analog counterparts.

CCTV DVR System record images onto hard drives like that found in computers. Digital Video Recorders are more flexible than Time Lapse VCR's because they do not require VHS tapes. Different sized hard drives can yield a much higher storage capacity than a VCR. It is possible to instantly search by date, time or event. There is no signal or quality loss while recording because the recording is digital.

DVRs come in various sizes 1, 4, 8, 9 and 16 Channels, where each channel represents a Video feed.

NETWORKING YOUR DVR'S OR CCTV CAMERA

Digital Network CCTV uses a Local Area Network (LAN) to transmit video streams from a DVR or IP camera to you display on a PC within your network or a PC outside of your home and office network, using the internet.

We can now provide CCTV access over the GSM network for IPHONE BLACKBERRY and NOKIA, and other platforms we are working on.

Depending on bandwidth and other criteria, your existing LAN can usually be used to carry video traffic alongside the normal internet network traffic, so in most cace's you traditional broadband internet connection should be ok.

If you already have traditional, analogue CCTV camera's, these can be readily integrated into the Digital Network CCTV system with maybe a small upgrade.

Our network CCTV software runs on standard PCs and allows you to record and view all of the IP Cameras and IP Video Servers on the network.

It is advisable that you have a discussion with us about the CCTV recorder to meet your needs.

ANPR Automatic Number Plate Recognition Systems

Automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) via CCTV camers has long been attempted, but the technical and environmental problems were previously too difficult to overcome. The problems have now been solved,

The Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system can record the registrations of all vehicles entering or leaving a site, and displays the registration. CCTV cameras can record all other site activity, which can be viewed and controlled from a single location.

ANPR is commonly used for:

  • Airports and ports
  • Building sites
  • Business, office and industrial
  • Car parks
  • Cinemas, theatres, concert halls
  • Offices and buildings
  • Events
  • High security environments
  • Hospitals
  • Local area
  • Motorways - traffic flow
  • Railway & Bus stations
  • Retail environment
  • Sports and leisure complexes

ANPR CCTV systems also Include options for image & capture vehicle registration details, and provides effective cover and identification, to keep on record.

ANPR is principally designed to be an alert system. ANPR is software which, when fitted to a camera system, can scan and read over three thousand number plates per hour.

ANPR cameras are NOT safety cameras or for use as a CCTV stand alone system.

It is advisable that you have a discussion with us about ANPR as it can be quite expensive and time consuming, we will be happy to point you in the right direction, call Chris on 0151 476 2421

Please note we will require a deposit for any ANPR installation, this does not apply to any other products and services we have to offer.
