About

I'm a linguist with a PhD from McGill University in the Department of Linguistics. I primarily study sentence structure and how this relates to sentence meaning (syntax and semantics). I'm interested in research that aims to link experimental data, gathered from studies on the comprehension and production of language,  to formal linguistic theory. I have previously worked on the online processing and theory of LF-syntax, covert movement and scope ambiguities, and my current research is on anaphoric dependencies and binding theory, particularly the interpretation and distribution of reflexive pronouns.

When not doing linguistics you can find me hiking, spending time with my horses or playing the piano.
