My work is informed by ephemera and the duality that is energy, never being destroyed. Vibrations, meditation, and a broad span of new-age ideas also drive me to create. I've been influenced by the writing of Carlos Casteneda, philosophy of Edgar Cayce, action of Jackson Pollock, and magical creations of the earthwork artists Robert Smithson and Andy Goldsworthy, as well as the performative and sculptural practices of Ana Mendieta. I also explore an array of materials in my practice, such as connection-driven performance art, painting with gouache, acrylic, or watercolor, drawing, and sculpture which utilizes nature, i.e. crystals, gems, rocks, fur, feathers, flowers, and light. At times I am driven by feng shui, religion, and romance, and I hope to inspire both an intellectual as well as visceral reflex in the viewer.
