Color guard requests

First, we sincerely appreciate your questions, comments and feedback. In addition, we also welcome requests for color guards as well. Please provide specific details outlined below via email.

COLOR GUARD REQUESTS should be made well in advance to be considered for approval.

Please include these details at a minimum:  

1) Name of your event:  i.e., Job Fair, Graduation, etc.

2) Date / Start Time / Location:

3) Will your event be Inside or Outdoors?

4) Will the National Anthem be performed live or recorded?

5) Point of Contact for your Activity / Event; phone, email, etc.

SPECIAL NOTES:  

• We Do Not provide Music and/or live singer(s).

• We will provide Scripts if requested.

• Our team will arrive 90 minutes prior for final rehearsals, etc.

• If necessary, we will alert you to any cancellations / changes / modifications asap; and request the same courtesy. 

• All requests are evaluated IAW with Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Instruction 36-2010 and other factors such as availability, etc. 

Color Guard or Honor Guard Specific Participation Rules.

Headquarters Air Force Junior ROTC prohibits us from  accepting invitations to present colors for any political, commercial or religious event. 

Exceptions: Color Guards for commercial events are permitted as long as a reasonable outside observer would not conclude from the activities of a uniform wearer that the Air Force supports, favors, or endorses the product, service, or name of any particular commercial activity. This prohibition does not include privately sponsored sporting events. In addition, before we accept any request to present colors for religious organizations, the event must coincide with a nationally recognized holiday; for example, Veterans Day, Memorial Day or observance of 11 September. Our color guard may only participate, so long as the ceremony endorses no particular religion.

In closing, we sincerely value your comments, feedback, questions, and especially color guard requests. We will attempt to reply as soon as possible.
