I graduated with a BSc (Honors) in Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics at Sudan University of Science and Technology in 2006. I received my MSc in industrial and computational Mathematics at the University of Khartoum in 2010. I joined African Institute for Mathematical Sciences in 2011 to do a postgraduate diploma in Mathematical Sciences which I completed successfully and obtained my degree from the University of Cape Town. I carried out another MSc based on research in wireless ad hoc networks at Stellenbosch University which I completed with cum laude in 2014. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Computer Science, University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
In 2011, I received a scholarship from African Institute for Mathematical Sciences to finance my postgraduate diploma. In 2012, I received the joint scholarship of Stellenbosch University and African Institute for Mathematical Sciences which covered all the costs of my second MSc. In 2016, I received doctoral NRF-TWAS scholarship.
In 2006, I received the Prize of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Sudan in Mathematics. I also received the Certificate of Excellence from the College of Science at Sudan University of Science and Technology. In 2018, I win the third place prize in the Ph.D. poster competition and a certificate from the Department of Science & Technology, South Africa during the CHPC national meeting.
