I love making software solutions that have a positive effect on people.
I've been in the Software Engineering industry since at least 2004.
I seek challenging opportunities to expand my skill set, form relationships, and make a difference.
I desire to feel fulfilled every day, knowing that I’m part of something important.

Honestly, I love Application Lifecycle Management, and Continuous Improvement of Software Processes. I follow this space closely, attend webinars, read blogs and papers, and learn about tools. I'd love to have a job where this was my main responsibility. I'd look for ways to get the builds faster, have not only Continuous Integration, but Continuous Delivery, Continuous QA, and Reporting and Trending to measure our progress against our improvement goals. This includes improving developer productivity and overall increasing IT Maturity.

Other than just coding webapps, some of my additional services are:

- Advocate agile practices, specifically TDD and other Extreme Programming (XP) practices
- Ensure Software Quality by adding test coverage, strengthening tests, and improving test times
- Capture Software Quality metrics to track quality improvement
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members adopting TDD, pair programming, etc

- I use the following tools:

-- Performance Center for Stress and Endurance testing
-- JUnit, Spock, and Mockito for TDD and automated unit testing
-- Cucumber for Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and acceptance testing

-- Github for Software Configuration Management

I Presented my "Test-Driven Development (TDD) in the Corporate Workplace" paper at the System Testing Excellence Program Workshop (2010) held at the FedEx Institute of Technology.

I'm marketing myself at $160k/year perm with great benefits or at least $90 - 100/hr as a contractor.

I travel out of the country to visit family up to 40 days per year and work remotely 2 or 3 weeks while there.

I choose not to work in the financial or insurance sectors.
