GNEK1015 1001 THINGS TO DO WITH COMPUTER

In the first of January 2010, I was looking for co-curriculum subject in the 2^nd semester 2009/2010. Therefore, I contacted with my classmate to have a look in this subject and at the end of our talking we decided to register it. That is because of my curiosity to know more about the subject.

Of all internet activities, Gmail is a Norwegian e-mail system supporting X.400 as well as Internet mail so Email is the most popular. Last class, I expect in the class was an interested and helpful in our life. And help us to use the computer easily. I have learned a lot of new things in Google mail that will help me in my course study.

With all my classes, there are a lot of things I have learned in class which is some of them are how to create an account, Search your mail instantly, Organize replies into conversations, Labels and filters. Furthermore, the several labels have a conversation and you can create filters to automatically manage incoming mail. All of these things were great very useful.

Email etiquette is amazing to find that in this day and age, some companies have still not realized how important their email communications are. Many companies send email replies late or not at all, or send replies that do not actually answer the questions you asked. In my daily life, I have to use Email etiquette such as be concise and to the point, answer all questions, and pre-empt further questions, use proper spelling, grammar and punctuation, read the email before you send it, answer swiftly, do not use email to discuss confidential information, do not reply to spam, and do not send or forward emails containing libellous, defamatory, offensive, racist or obscene remarks etc.. We need the email etiquette for professionalism, efficiency and protection from liability.

In short, Gmail is an electronic mail system for message and file exchange between workstations and multiple platforms in all network environments. I am truly believed that I will learn many things to do with computer and how to deal with Gmail.
