IF YOU HAVE JUST ONE DAY IN AHMEDABAD :
1 - Heritage Walk starts at Swaminarayan Mandir
(starts at approx 7.30 am, get there a bit early and see the mandir - one of my favorite mandirs)
2 - Heritage Walk ends at Jama Masjid around 9.30 am
(includes Ahmed Shah Tomb & Rani no Hajiro)
For a quick Gujarati snack try Das Khaman or Chandravilas about 250 mts from 2.
You could lunch at Agashiyena but it's pricey and would involve a detour. It's actually close to 3.
Toran dinning hall has a value-for-money Gujarati Thali . Also involves a detour.
For Gujarati snacks try Shreeji Khaman House. Less than a Km from 4.
5 - Dada Harir Vav & Hazrat Harir Masjid
6 & 7 - Shaking minarets at either end of Kalupur Station :
Shaking Minaret (north end) & Shaking Minaret (south end)
(And, if you are lucky, starling murmuration above the station)
8 - (Optional) Amritvarshini Vav unique L-shaped vav, keys are at the mandir next to the vav.
After sunset visit the street food market at Manek Chowk.
